The LGBTQ+ Rights Movement

LGBT movements are political movements that support the rights of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) people in society. Others, like the ongoing same-sex marriage campaign, concentrate on emancipation, like the 1960s and 1970s gay liberation movement, while some focus on equal rights.

Social equality for LGBT persons is one of these movements' most often stated objectives. Others have concentrated on creating LGBT communities or sought to end biphobia, homophobia, and transphobia in society at large.
